Agenda: You took the quiz on vocab. 17-18 and we covered the active voice of 3rd conjugation -IO verbs.

Agenda: You took a prep. check quiz on the weekend’s HW and a quiz on the opening lines of the Aeneid. We finished the opening lines (1.1-33) and moved on to discussing the rest of book 1.

Pensum: Read Aeneid 1.34-409 (= West pp. 4-14) in English & come ready to discuss the questions. Remember that there is now a participation grade for English discussion days too!

Agenda: You turned in your binders. We went over the scansion/meter notes (see yesterday’s blog post) and we started practicing with scansion.

1. Do as much of Scansion Worksheet 1 as you can in 30 DISTRACTION-FREE minutes
   • For those of you in Section 02 at the math test R-1, you’ll have to spend some extra time finishing the notes since you missed class.
2. I’m collecting your intro. reading questions in class tomorrow that were due yesterday and today. Make sure you define all of those terms at the end of the Vergil assignment.
